It's a two-way street
Remember how much fun it used to be to play in the backyard? Well, it still can be.
Most of us are used to entering through the "front door," but every once in awhile it can be a nice change of scenery to go in through the back.
OK, enough with the metaphors -- I'm talking about anal sex.
Don't deny it, you know you're curious about the phenomenon -- the one that most men take part in longing for and that some women wished would pass faster than Britney Spears' marriage.
Anal penetration gets a bad rap because of prison rumors, homophobia and sodomy, but with an open mind, both men and women could be into the literal version of taking it from behind.
I'll admit that I'm not anal sex's biggest fan. But since my boyfriend believes that I put the ASS in asset, I try to make small sacrifices that please us both. And, if done carefully and correctly, you will find that anal sex is great, but can be very powerful.
First of all, it's not a spontaneous thing. You can't just decide half way during sex that you'd like to stick it in another hole. It's all about lubrication and preparation.
So obviously, hit and miss is not the way to approach it. If you think you're being slick and trying to slip it in where your partner wasn't expecting it, that's not going to work.
"Oh, baby, I didn't mean to put it there... but uh, you wanna?"
Not cool. This is a surefire way to make him or her even more anal about the idea.
You have to take steps to get ready for the change in your sexual excursions. It's the ritual of preparing for anal sex that counts the most.
Lubrication is key. Since you don't usually enter the back door, you'll definitely need to use some WD-40 on the hinges. Always use a condom and be gentle, let the receiver control the motions.
As with any sex act, work with your partner to figure out what feels best for the both of you. At first, you'll most likely find the anus was meant to be a one-way road, and that way is out. But you may find that it goes both ways.
