"No wasting time and gas money driving to and from school is a plus, as is not having to clean up and put on clean clothes before class."
- Dave Lipscomb, junior social science major.

"Online instruction helps me to balance work and family. My 5- and 7-year-old can be giggling nearby while I engage in an online discussion."
- Mimi Miller, assistant professor in department of education.

"Sometimes it is difficult to communicate online, because words on the screen don't have emotion and can be easily misunderstood."
- Gisela Chappelle, senior sociology major.

"I was the kind of student in a traditional classroom that didn't speak up in class. I just sat there and let everyone else talk. I find that in the online atmosphere I am able to express myself more and contribute more to the classroom."
- Dana McAvoy, sociology major.

"With online education, you can't control cheating, so get over it."
- Tony Waters, chairman of sociology department and online professor.
