Sentencing will take place next month for Elaine Ilana Meiri, a former Hebrew instructor who could face up to three years in prison.
Meiri's lawyer, Dane Cameron, will attempt to reduce her sentence to probation since this is her first criminal conviction, he said.
Meiri was arrested Feb. 28 after police found about 45 pounds of processed marijuana, packaging materials and more than $4,500 in cash in her home, police said.
Police found some of the marijuana at the home of Denver Troyer, a residency attached to Meiri's.
His attorney, William Short, will challenge marijuana charges against Troyer because police did not knock and did not have a search warrant when they entered the residency, he said.
Cameron told Judge Sandra McLean on Aug. 7 that the records have not shown that the $4,500 confiscated was used for illegal activity so it should be returned to Meiri.
The judge allowed Meiri to remain free on the previously set bail of $70,000.

"... pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana in court."
A courtroom is a stupid place to sell.
