Q: What does NFSA do?
A: Through the nutrition and food science department, our club gets together to provide nutrition students with an outlet for networking with other nutrition students as well as nonmajors interested in nutrition. We also volunteer in the community.
Q: Do you have to be a nutrition major?
A: You don't have to be a nutrition major to become a member.
Q: What are your responsibilities as president?
A: I basically facilitate meetings and programs.
Q: How long have you been involved with NFSA?
A: This is my fourth semester being a part of NFSA. I was the communications officer last year, and I was elected president of the club this semester.
Q: Why is having a club like NFSA important?
A: We provide nutritional information to the campus and the community, and we also provide leadership opportunities for dietetic students.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the club?
A: I enjoy the opportunity to meet other students and help the community through providing nutritional information.
Q: What can people expect to gain from being members?
A: Members can gain more information about nutrition in general, jobs and what you can do with your major as a career.
