For the past few years, Renee Goldoff has gone through two coaches and a few California Collegiate Athletic Association championships. But this year is different. The Wildcats will look to the senior for veteran leadership after losing two starters to Molly Goodenbour's UC Irvine.

What are some expectations for this season?
For this season, we're really excited because we have a lot of people back. We have three new people who are really transitioning well and adapting to what we do. They've learned a lot already and from here they are only going to get better. We're excited to start the season and we always have high expectations of each other. We push each other to do well, to practice hard, to go hard and to have good, positive attitudes. Brian (Fogel) expects a lot. He puts a lot of trust and faith into us that we'll go out and work hard for him and so we want to do that.

What are some things you want to get out of your senior year?
I'm just trying to have fun. It's going to be sad to not look forward to it anymore, but I've had fun here the past four years. I just want to be successful and do well in conference and make it as far as we can and have everyone on the same page and have a positive attitude.

What is it like playing for your third collegiate head coach in four years?
It's definitely something I've experienced in having to adapt to a new coach. It was fairly easy this year. Brian is a good coach and easy to transition to. He was with us last year, so it was good to have someone that we were already familiar with and comfortable with, and it was a lot easier than I expected. I'm glad that it didn't take a toll on us and it wasn't that hard to adapt to him. He's just been doing really good, and we all like him and enjoy him as our coach.

How does the team look compared with last season?
Talentwise, we're still very good. We've lost a couple of key people but we've made it up with our new people and how our returners have developed and have gotten better. I think we have a really good shot of winning the conference and going far in the playoffs again. We have to make sure everyone stays healthy and works hard because that's a big part of it.
