A true freshman out of Emeryville High School, Bull averaged 23 points per game last season and was a Division V all-state mention. She also put up 4.9 assists and 3.5 steals per game. She adds a great deal of athleticism to the team and can run the point guard or two guard position. She has tremendous defense and can carry a presence for the Wildcats.
Natasha Smith • G
Smith came into her own as a freshman last season, becoming a real intimidator at both ends of the court. She averaged 9.1 points per game and had just over one steal per game. Smith also averaged 43 percent from the field, which was a high for all Chico State guards. She will probably lead the 'Cats as the point guard this season and is a triple threat, as she can drive, pass and shoot the ball.
Melissa Richardson • G
Richardson started every game but two last season and played in every game but one. She has a jump shot that is effective from both midrange and around the perimeter. She had the second-most 3-pointers last season and shot 34 percent from around the arc. Richardson also averaged 4.1 rebounds and just over one steal per game. She will start at the wing and will look to take advantage of scoring opportunities all season.
