The United Undies event was held last Monday to promote safe sex and abuse prevention. The event included booths from community and campus organizations as well as different activities such as henna and designing your own paper underwear.
More than 200 people marched in silence Thursday night to protest against the prevalence of violence against women in Chico. The demonstration was part of the international Take Back the Night movement which protests against the silence regarding gender violence.
The Terraces retirement living community is a proud venue for artists of all ages to perform music for one another. Artists are welcome to play any genre they would like.
Up 'til Dawn hosted another party Monday, specifically, a letter writing party. The event was organized and run by Chico State students to fundraise for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The donations will be used to cover some of the 1.3 million dollars that is needed to run the hospital on a daily basis.
The Bell Memorial Union auditorium turned into a vertigo inducing boogie as Israeli Levi Bar-Gil led Chico State students in a dance for peace. Bar-Gil and his friend Professor Michael Leitner work together in Israel to bring Palestinians and Israelis together through dance.
The Rowdy Red, a student organization at Chico State, cheered the women’s volleyball team to a three set victory over Humboldt State University Saturday. As a new group, Rowdy Red strives to promote and encourage school spirit by attending sports games and showing support for the Wildcat teams.
Weeks of planning and preparation culminated on Monday night, where Chico State hosted Up ‘til Dawn, an event where students ask friends and family to donate to St. Jude Children Hospital and the fight against cancer.
"The Lair" ended last Saturday. The haunted house was in full swing Friday night with screams, blood, creepy piano music and viewers holding onto each other in fright. Backstage, actors/vampires prepared and waited for their prey.

The 22nd Annual Pumpkin Drop last Thursday attracted not only Chico State students but grade school students from all over Chico. The Annual Pumpkin Drop event, held by the Society of Physics Students club, is put on to give young students a feel for science in a fun and exciting way. Members of the club dressed up as Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Galileo and Sir Issac Newton. Each character explained their theories of gravity.
Zombies and spectators crawled and walked into the downtown plaza Saturday afternoon as Chico prepared to "Thrill the World." The event is part of a global effort to get people from all around the world to dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" at the same time. Hundreds of locals dressed up in undead attire and performed the routine they have been working on for weeks.
Playoff hopes look brighter after wins against CSU Monterey Bay and SF State as the lady Wildcats enter the homestretch. Saturday's win was crucial against the CCAA fourth place tie SF State. Chico State is now 9-4 in conference.
Every Saturday afternoon the undead roam under the autumn canopy of Bidwell Park dancing in step to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” They are training for a global mission that will see thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands of other zombies terrorizing the globe in world record tribute to the King of Pop.

Community members, local businesses and student organizations congregated Sunday to participate in the Pink in the Plaza event, put together by Chico State’s Delta Sigma Pi. The event was meant to bring breast cancer awareness to the community and collect donations for the cause.
