"The Lair" ended last Saturday. The haunted house was in full swing Friday night with screams, blood, creepy piano music and viewers holding onto each other in fright. Backstage, actors/vampires prepared and waited for their prey.

The 22nd Annual Pumpkin Drop last Thursday attracted not only Chico State students but grade school students from all over Chico. The Annual Pumpkin Drop event, held by the Society of Physics Students club, is put on to give young students a feel for science in a fun and exciting way. Members of the club dressed up as Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Galileo and Sir Issac Newton. Each character explained their theories of gravity.
Zombies and spectators crawled and walked into the downtown plaza Saturday afternoon as Chico prepared to "Thrill the World." The event is part of a global effort to get people from all around the world to dance to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" at the same time. Hundreds of locals dressed up in undead attire and performed the routine they have been working on for weeks.
Playoff hopes look brighter after wins against CSU Monterey Bay and SF State as the lady Wildcats enter the homestretch. Saturday's win was crucial against the CCAA fourth place tie SF State. Chico State is now 9-4 in conference.

Community members, local businesses and student organizations congregated Sunday to participate in the Pink in the Plaza event, put together by Chico State’s Delta Sigma Pi. The event was meant to bring breast cancer awareness to the community and collect donations for the cause.
