Bush late on climate crisis

By Megan Wilson

President George W. Bush announced a plan last week to eliminate greenhouse emission growth by 2025. Until then, emissions are free to increase. It's the political equivalent of the cable guy's wait-time window: We'll see if we can offer you a solution sometime between the hours of 10 a.

Editorial: Student activism placed on back burner

This university is drowning in apathy. For the past several years the California State University system has been hit hard with fee increases and budget cuts while the majority of the students has sat idle. Today students can vote on two glorious environmental advisory measures on the Associated Students election ballot that steers Chico State in the left direction.

Letter to the editor: Pro-life group denies women's rights

I am outraged by the audacity of the Chico State Students For Life who presume to know what is best for women everywhere. As a free woman, I will not be told by some sheltered college students what is best for me or my unborn children. Women just like me will always have a choice when it comes to our reproductive rights.

Thumbs classic

Thumbs up to e-cards. Nothing says "I love you" like a last-minute e-mail to save on postage and the effort of having to come up with something clever for a card. Thumbs down to sitting on a warm toilet seat. It's like butts are kissing. Yuck. Thumbs up to the actresses in erectile dysfunction commercials.
