Shooting leaves one dead, one recovering

A shooting at the intersection of East 20th Street and Park Avenue at approximately 12:30 p.m. Saturday left one victim dead and another in the hospital. A green Acura coup was waiting to turn left onto East 20th Street, when a red SUV pulled up beside the Acura in the adjacent left turn lane and began to shoot, said Sgt.

Student found dead in home

A student was found dead around 11 p.m. Saturday. Roommates found the student in his room on Ivy Street. Police have not released the name, pending notification of next of kin. No foul play is suspected to have occurred according to a Chico State press release.
