About eleven students sat in the Free Speech Area Thursday holding up signs made from notebook paper that read "just love," "free hugs" and "keep abortion safe and legal."
Behind them stood two men holding up "Trust Jesus" signs to protest against abortion.
About 50 Students took turns loudly voicing their opinions about the abortion and religion.
"Everyone should know how religion affects the world, politics, even if you don't believe in it," said junior Matthew Myers.
Jim Webber, known as "Bible Jim," enjoys coming each semester to protest because it helps students realize their beliefs, he said.
"We're provoking thinking in young people," said Webber. "We're providing a forum for them to exchange ideas. Truth always rises to the top."
Freshman Ky Wentworth agrees but doesn't agree with the two religious protesters' method of doing it, he said.
"He has as much of a right to speak as I do, but no one has the right to force their beliefs on me," said freshman Ky Wentworth.
Freshmen Zach Burch thinks that the protest is a good way to know how others in the world think, he said.
"They help open people's eyes," Burch said. "Not everyone is as open minded. They have the right to believe in what they want to believe in."
Freshman Morgan Fedor, however, said she thinks that the two protestors are giving Christians a bad name.
Some students stopped by to hear what all the shouting was about. Junior Danielle Jenne stopped because she saw a sign against Mormons, she said.
"I don't think it accomplishes much," Jenne said. "It just makes people angry."

You guys don't get it - they are here manipulating you to bring up the topic of religion on campus. They may or may not believe what they've written on their little banners, but they do it because there's no other way to get an entire campus talking about Jesus. (Continued…)
